Chamomile Herbal Remedy for Sleep | Natural Sleep aid Chamomile Tea

Chamomile the most popular herb used for herbal tea. It is a well known name when it comes to herbal remedies having rich anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic and sedative properties. This flowering plant from daisy family is great help to fall asleep. It is available in for of tea, tablets and liquid extract. Apart from these processed varieties this medicinal herb can be consumed in its natural form.

Soothing Tea

Chamomile processed tea is very common and known to majority of people. In case of trying something new, do make the tea using this herbal plant’s flowers. Bring one cup of water to boil. Once the water starts boiling put in 2 tsp Chamomile flowers. Add 1 tsp jaggery if sweet tea is desired else it can be omitted. Put off the flame and cover the pan with the plate for 10 minutes. Later sieve and drink tea hot. Ensure there is gap of 1-2 hours between drinking tea and sleeping. This soothing tea assists in getting the soothing sleep.

Luscious Salad
Flowers of this medicinal plant are edible hence can be munched as it is. With the aim of making salad take 2-3 tablespoon of Chamomile flowers. Wash it thoroughly in the running water and make sure it is absolutely clean.

Ingredients –

Apple pieces– 1 bowl
Boiled potato pieces – 1 bowl
Cucumber pieces – 1 bowl
Cooked corn – 1 bowl
Parboiled carrot pieces – 1 bowl
Chamomile flowers – 2-3 tablespoon
Finely cut coriander leaves – 2-3 tablespoon

For Dressing –
Lemon Juice – 1 Tablespoon
Olive Oil – 2 Tablespoon
Salt to taste

In a big bowl put all the ingredients. Toss it well together. Now for dressing, in a bottle put lemon juice, olive oil and salt. Shake well and pour it on the salad. Again toss well. Healthy delicious Chamomile Apple salad is ready to eat.

Enjoy the tea or salad two hours before going to bed and have a sound and peaceful snooze. As such Chamomile is the safest herb to be consumed but in case an individual is prone to some allergic reaction then first consult the doctor subsequently proceed with these techniques to get a good sleep.
