Aloe Vera Herbal Moisturizing Lotion – DIY

Majority part of skincare concentrates on keeping the skin well moisturized. Aloe-Vera Juice: 100 ml
Wheat Germ Oil: 100 ml
Beeswax: 15 grams

The key role of wheat germ oil in the herbal moisturizing lotion is to repair the skin cells damaged by the blazing heat of aging agent sun. This oil is extracted from wheat germ, scientifically known as Triticum Vulgare.
beeswaxBeeswax binds and emulsifies the herbal moisturizing lotion. It also assists to retain the natural skin moisture and ease the itch from sensitive skin. It gently soothes and softens the skin. Beeswax is known as Cera Alba in scientific terms.
Steps for Making Rich Herbal Moisturizer
First step would be to mix the two liquids together namely aloe vera juice and wheat germ oil in a bowl. Then melt the beeswax in a pan (having thick base) on low flame, stirring it continuously. Third step would be to add the mixture of juice and oil to the melted beeswax little by little. Blend the mixture well. Turn off the gas burner and allow it to cool down. It is said to stir the mixture constantly because due to beeswax the consistency of the lotion shall become thick. If it is not stir all the time then the much required uniformity in the moisturizer shall not be attained. So stir well and get the correct consistency of the herbal moisturizer.
Directions to Use the Herbal Skin Moisturizing Lotion
Take little prepared moisturizer on one hand’s palm and spread it on other palm as well by gently rubbing it. Then using both hands apply the lotion on the skin. This rich herbal moisturizer is suitable for entire body skin. It suits most normal and oily skin. It can be used once in a day while recommended to use twice in a day during winters.

Herbal Moisturizing Lotion at home


-1/4 cup Plain Yogurt
-1/4 cup Coconut Oil
-2 tsp Vitamin E Oil
-2 tsp Honey
-10 drops Essential Oils (optional)


1. In a small bowl, combine the yogurt, coconut oil, vitamin E oil, and honey.
2. Mix until all the ingredients are fully combined.
3. If using essential oils, add them to the mixture.
4. Pour the moisturizing lotion into a container with a lid.
5. Store the lotion in a cool, dry place for up to one month.

To use:

Apply a small amount of the moisturizing lotion to clean skin and massage into skin until fully absorbed. Use at least twice a day, or as needed.
